Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this.
Ds is significantly delayed both in receptive and expressive language and has to be taught i.e. he does not 'pick up' language in the way for eg, that his sister does.
In the past few months, I have decided to use some Mandarin phrases with ds and dd - not teaching them as such, just using phrases such as be careful, brush your teeth. Last night, I asked ds and dd, in Mandarin, if they would like to go brush their teeth and ds answered, 'Yes, I want to brush my teeth.' - in Mandarin, in complete and correct sentence.
So ,just wondering if anyone knows if there are some languages that are easier for asd/language delayed children to pick up.
(Am also taking into account that I speak slower to them in Mandarin and it is just me talking, so not a lot of 'noise' to filter out etc.)
