Is there anywhere I can buy packs of pants all the same colour and style?

Hello

It's coming up to time to replace DD and DS's under clothes. Past experience has taught me its best to get them 10 identical in every way pairs of pants, vests and socks. Even deciding between almost identical vests whose only difference is in the tiny bow on the front can cause a meltdown. We can also have meltdowns because in a multipack of indies only the yellow ones won't be scratchy.

Strangely, and this is where I sometimes think this behaviour is a conscious choice, if they don't have any choice (all pants are purple boxers for example) they just wear them with no complaints.

Socks are easy enough as I just buy them knee length school ones but I'm finding it very hard to buy underwear in same colour packs.

Does anyone know where I can buy them?

We've got the same issue with pyjamas so buy four identical pairs but buying undies individually is a bit costly. I don't even do that for myself!

Thanks!

Oh - what sizes? any particular sort - boxers, briefs?

Levi174517 · 09/04/2014 15:48

Oh I hadn't noticed them in Marks. Thank you.

DD will only wear briefs with no embellishment. Lace trim is itchy. A bow is acceptable because even my poor seamstress skills can cope with cutting a bow off. I've tried to get her wearing shorts but she refuses because "my bum falls out the bottom of them and the sides of the legs are flappy". A pity because I see M&S do girls shorts multipacks that are all the same!

I've bookmarked the boys trunks though, thanks PatriciaKrenwrinkle

Girls: direct.asda.com/george/girls/underwear-socks/two-pack-seam-free-briefs/G004352226,default,pd.html
Asda also sell these 3 for £5

Fine idea this btw - DS is easily lead by logos/theme - no pants fit right, all are itchy blah blah but any pants with footballs on are ok. Even if they are from the same range in the same size from the same shop as the itchy ones that don't fit Hmm DD however would relish the same pants every day.

Are these the girls ones? www.marksandspencer.com/3-pack-superfine-pure-cotton-shorts/p/p22067365

I think my DD would agree with yours re the flappy bum falling out shorts Grin Will keep looking. I'm on a mission looks at the 20 unworn pants in DD's drawer

I think DD uses up all her decision making ability on tops and leggings!

The asda ones look good. DH passes an Asda on his way home from work if he goes home a convoluted route using three buses rather than one.

Multipacks are sometimes white. Could you get a few white multipacks and dye them all the same shade ( machine wash in type of dye)? Might have to be the same colour as other frequently washed clothing ( ie pale blue if uniform is blue) to help with washing as dye can leach over time. Often the stitching or any tape (if polyester/nylon)will not dye properly so you get a contrast which can look fine. Gussets (if cotton whilst the pants are blended) may come out a stronger colour, which could be a problem.
Ds is the same. Once he takes a dislike to a particular pair - he refuses to wear them ever again! He won't wear white at all - hence finding out the pro's and cons of dyeing undies!

I'm secretly glad it's not just my children!

The sensory store ones look good if a little costly but that's what the DLA money is for! Seam free socks would be ideal for DD and DS as they usually have to wear them insides out.

Sometimes I think we spend all our DLA on fish fingers. "I can't eat that one cause the orange bit is split". "That ones no good it's a naked and I don't eat naked fish"...

But that's a whole other thread I'm not getting into.

Next do these!

I normally avoid Next because I think probably wrongly they'll be over-priced.

I will definitely buy the seam free socks and tights though. We had a nightmare finding tights without a huge seam across the toes last year. I didn't even think it might have been helpful to note where the acceptable ones were bought before cutting the label out. I do recall they weren't from M&S - there's had huge seams.

Thanks everyone Thanks I might not be able to get everything in one place but at least I can get things that will be worn.

The Sensory Smart site are selling Pex tights as seam- minimal. Our uniform shop is crammed full of those - I shall try there.
