Home schooling for my son

My DS(7) has autism as well as a number of other health problems. Can anyone advise me on what I should do? I was thinking to have him home schooled as he is really struggling at school, he gets very sleepy then gets upset because he wants to come home and sleep, he also has difficulty with acknowledging people who aren't part of our family (such as his teacher, teaching assistants and his peers) he just won't acknowledge them so whilst there he just does as he wants to, but at home he always listens, he loves to learn new things whilst at home such as (new words, times tables, etc)

Do you think I should keep him at school? It's an independent school for children with autism. Or should I remove him and home school him?

Does he have a statement naming the school? Have you talked to them about all this, and would it be worth asking for up to date assessments?

If the school is named in the statement, you won't be able to remove ds without the council's permission.

You can remove your child without the council's permission if in mainstream but you need permission if in a special school.

LA are not funding my child, he used to attend a private school but he was struggling, I had to get a private diagnoses and I found the school he is currently attending myself.

I have made the decision today to take him out of school after speaking to his teacher this afternoon, I don't know whether I myself will be teaching him or if I should get him a tutor.

Zzzzz how is your son getting on now he isn't at school?
