Since applying for SA Ds has had his nhs ADOS / autism assessment moved forward twice, it is now only a few weeks away. We already have an private dx of HFA. I no longer trust anyone where Ds is concerned so wondering whether this is only because of SA application or just a bit of luck. Also SLT have finally pulled their fingers out and assessing again tomorrow. Only a year overdue!

Paed clearly wanted school to be there but has accepted I don't want this so they have not been invited. Paed said that sch would not be in room with Ds whilst being assessed they would be part of the discussions afterwards. No thank you! I think filling out a questionnaire and answering some questions over phone is far more appropriate.
Salt and support worker have been invited, never met neither of these two professionals. However the salt who is invited rang me yesterday, she was very nice, I managed to tell her all about Ds and how he appears to hold himself together at school, she asked me lots of questions and I felt as if she understood. She will be assessing Ds in school before the ADOS at the clinic then coming to clinic too. I think she may doing Ds ADOS I am not sure but the paperwork says salt will take Ds for assess whilst I discuss Ds with paed and other profs. I feel a little more confident that Ds will get his nhs dx to match his private dx. If he doesn't I worry about sch removing support they have put in place based on private reports and a little from nhs salt. Although his needs will not have changed.
