Thank you bochead I did put in a written request for the minutes of the meeting as soon as I found out, only to have to school nurse/LP come back saying that she was sorry that I thought the meeting had gone ahead without me, but it wasn't a CAF meeting, just that they happened to be in the school & DDs teachers & HT were available to "have a chat"
& yes alarm bells ringing here big time, even if its just that the LP is completely useless & a bullshitter of the highest order
As a family we've no worries at all, DD is the centre of both DH & Is world & we have no housing worries, my time is dedicated to her as I am at home, i do have some not insignificant health problems, but that has meant I am always available for DD, whatever her needs, where as I was a workaholic pre health problems, we have a fantastic relationship, she is a model pupil in school & an all round great kid, I've a pile of school reports that back that too - but having read more about what CAF should be, its never happened that way & I don't see any benefit from it at all, if anything this silly woman gets in the way of the good relationship Ive previously had with the school - they were better pre CAF, because I spoke to them directly, meetings could be arranged anyway, just without the LP taking minutes that are always wrong anyway & I have to then go through & correct them & she's now undermining advice I pass onto the school. -
hell the second Nurse who is often in the meeting & second LP told me she was a trained nutritionalist & then wrote notes listing DDs intolerances & couldn't get a single one correct, that's when they are common intolerances - for example she wrote Benio 8 instead of benzoate
I do feel there is an agenda, that's my gut instinct on this & Ive decided I want out all together & maybe look at it again for high school if its of benefit, which I doubt if we get our chosen HS - the only thing I can think of is DD has been a bullying victim in the past, some quite extreme & I've banged heads & gone right to the very top as a result at times to get things resolved - Ive made it known that I don't think they dealt effectively with the bullying, certainly not fast enough, they still don't, but DD is fine with it now, but I do believe part of her anxiety problems stem from that - DD even says that herself & I have told them that - I'm starting to think that could be the real route of all this & it pees me off big time
