Hi Mums and Dads,

I need some help in deciding which borough/LA (London or near London) are Autism friendly?

I currently live in Merton, and thinking of moving to ensure that my child gets best chance for her secondary education.

She is 10 years old, and non-verbal child.

Best,

Another vote for Waltham Forest schools provision. There is the excellent Whitefields SEN school and they are looking to set up a new school especially for autists in the near future. I heard that the NAS also had plans for a new school in A neighbouring borough. LA help seems pretty bad but there are reasonable parent support groups

Hi mums....I need some help in deciding the best borough in or near London to move to; in order to get the best autism support for my son. He is 8 years old and I really need all the help I can get at this stage. Thanks..

Hi everyone,
I am hoping to move and also choose a special secondary school for my son who has ASD, he is what they would call 'high functioning' so also needs to be academically stretched.
Can anyone help with which areas are relatively safe and also have a good selection of special schools.

We currently live in Croydon but the area is not very good at all.

Thanks everyone!

Langley park boys school has a specialist provision for boys with autism.
no idea what the criteria is for getting in there. The houses around that area (bromley) are pretty pricey though.
