Deadline of 6 weeks was yesterday and I've heard nothing. I emailed the SEN officer and her boss and cc in my councillor yesterday lunch time and so far from the LA silence.

My councillor copied me in to his reply to the LA asking what's going on but even that has yet to have had any benefit.

Postman been and gone again today and still nothing. I know that's nothing I can do but sit and wait but my god it's frustrating, I feel as though they are doing it deliberately as payback for winning the tribunal over her twin brother. I hope it's not and its just that they are incompetent .

I think also they are using a different start date of receipt which I don't understand as the request was hand delivered to them and I have the receipt!

I would be happy if they just said - sorry but we are dealing with it, sorry for the delay but no, silence instead

Can you phone the central sen office and ask to be put through to the person who deals with your area? The only way i could get any answers wrt ds, was to stay on the phone until I was speaking to the relevant person and she could tell me that she had ds's paperwork in front of her. I then asked that she send me a confirmation slip or phoned me when any piece of correspondence was received, so that I knew it had arrived safely.

there is only one sen officer here for the whole county so getting hold of her on the phone is very difficult hence why I emailed her and her boss. we do not have a very good relationship to say the least hence why I avoid at all costs speaking to her and why I prefer things to be done in writing for the paper trail.

I would try the phone, if that doesn't work then phone sendist and get the appeal forms. Then email your case worker saying your appeal has been lodged.

They should given a completion date

Ive already got the appeal forms 'just in case' I guess they can ignore me but will be more difficult for them to ignore my councillor who has asked also to know what is going in on

2boys, she can't lodge an appeal until she's got a decision to appeal against.

If you don't hear tomorrow, email or write to them saying the deadline is past, if you don't get a decision by, say, Monday, you will have to instruct a solicitor with a view to judicial review proceedings.

I got the local MP involved in the end when this happened with ds1
