Hi all
Hope some of you are getting a bit of a break...
Our local infant has declined ABA and we dont want to impose on them if we can find other options..
I only targetted the infant schools intially, however, now I am begnnning to think if primary is also an option. I went for infant thinking that a small school will be better for our passive, non verbal, easily lost in her own world kind of a 4 yr old girl with autism.
At play areas we have noticed that 8-10 yr old boys can easily mistake her for a 5 yr old girl who can manage herself in the running around. However that isnt the case. She just doesnt know how to handle the chaos sometimes (doesnt have meltdowns, but find a corner and sits there stimming at lights and shadows)
Aside from the age groups is there any other difference between an infant+ junior and a primary?
TIA
