apols if this is a bit long, just want to set the scene, as it were...

ds3 is 4.5 and just started in reception this september.

we suspect he has ASD of some sort. Our eldest has HFA, middle is NT.

there are many and varied reasons we believe this, which I won't go into here as it'd take too long. He has seen the paediatrician who said there wasn't enough for a diagnosis at the time (a year ago) but that they would see him again after he started school.

Teacher is brill with him and says she can definitely see what we mean and is willing to write report to help us in the quest for diagnosis.

So far so good!

There is a T.A in his class who helps cover the teachers ppa on a tuesday afternoon. She's a nice enough lady, have chatted to her plenty, and had mentioned that we had concerns about DS3 one day when we were talking about DS1!
since then she seems to be at pains to keep approaching me and telling me how well DS3 is doing at school and that there is "nothing to worry about" and lots of comments implying that we're just imagining it basically.
He IS doing well at school, but every single Tuesday, without fail, there is some issue that she needs to tell me about... he won't participate, he won't say sorry for something, he won't get changed for P.E, he won't clear up his stuff, he's been upset but she doesn't know why..
this NEVER happens with the regular teacher, so I feel potentially is something with the way this T.A is handling him

So, to get to the point at last Blush, would you mention anything to the teacher? or just ignore? I don't want the T.A to get into trouble or anything, and I don't want to create an uncomfortable situation with her either if I've been in to speak about her to the teacher...

wwyd?

thanks polter. I have a habit of over-reacting and over-analysing situations, so i wasn't sure whether it was just me, or whether it was something worth bringing up :)

our experience with DS1 has, thankfully, been mostly positive nd the school in general are great. it's just this one T.A we've had a problem with really
