I was so amazed I screamed! It's written out his dyspraxia (Dcd depending on fussy terminology) sensory processing issues, implosive behaviour, disordered language and severe language delay. Learning dificulties the lot!

Not what I ever thought I would be happy to see but wow such a relief! I have my ultimate "it's there in black and white" moment.

One battle fought and won. She lives to fight another day :0)

Well done. I am pleased for you.

I knew your only people who can understand. It's been a massive battle and taken four and a half years to get here.

I'm glad that particular fight is over so I can concentrate on getting help now

Well done 2boys

As you say, one battle won.

And hopefully it will be the first of many.

Hope you get great satisfaction in sending a copy to the school, LA and SEND.

Skylar123 · 25/11/2013 18:48

Lol, what a thread title!!! Grin

Well done though.

Autum it was a bit woolly as she did say on the down his learning dificulties are down to school to identifiy.

'He has dificulties with motor planning and sequencing which are affecting his motor and speech development and impacting on his learning"

Some mention of comprehension - that's about it

Well done. It's a funny feeling to feel glad when someone says something less than positive about your child, isn't it?

I remember getting DD1's DLA decision and being delighted that she got the rate that she did, but at the same time gutted that someone else had seen what she needed.

ouryve · 25/11/2013 21:56

It's such a relief to have what you are seeing and experiencing formalised, on paper.

I do hope that behaviour is impulsive, rather than implosive, though. Could be messy, otherwise ;)

Handywoman · 25/11/2013 21:57

Well done 2boys it represents the culmination of a lot of anguish and effort, hats off to you.

Ours was a journey of similar length (4 yrs 8 months). Well done for ploughing on.... Now go sock it to school and LA!!!!

2boysnamedR · 25/11/2013 23:14

Behaviour could be implosive or explosive lol! Depends how quick I catch him running out into road etc....

I went down the gym and I felt angry we are where we are - but it passed. It's not a path to doom, just a snow covered path to god knows where ( I have tell myself that or go mad) still I can't wait to send it to the lea.
