Please read from page 31 and know that you a) aren't alone and b)are now forewarned about what you are trying to avoid.

Jesus. That's not inclusion, it's a fucking warzone. How do the SEN teams live with themselves?

StarlightMcKenzie · 24/11/2013 18:14

They will say (I know because I've asked them), that parents are only dissatisfied because they are affluent and greedy, and that they are an outstanding service being prevented from doing their good work by streetwise, trouble-making parents.

Hertfordshite

of course it is.

How could it be anywhere else.

Hi starlight. It's meeeeeeee (Hec). Grin we share Herts rage Grin

StarlightMcKenzie · 24/11/2013 18:27

LOL. I'm nowhere near the dump now but the report still made me cry. I wish I could have brought all of those families with me.

Where I am ain't great, but it ain't evil neither.

Hertfordshite, - absolutely!

Yeah. Me too. Compared to Herts it's wonderful.

We're starting the transition to adult services stuff with our eldest atm. he's only 14 (15 in May) it feels much too soon to be thinking of all that Grin he's my BABY!

But at least it doesn't feel like they resent every penny and would dearly love me to fall off a cliff or something Grin

I have a feeling that if they did that research around the country they would get many similar stories.

My LA and the one next to me are failing children with Asd every single day Sad

PrinceRogersNelson · 25/11/2013 07:19

That is heartbreaking. :(

StarlightMcKenzie · 25/11/2013 12:01

It is, but the most telling one for me was the comment from a member of staff about the training they received. They said it was rubbish but worse, they were told to expect parents of children with autism to be difficult.

Seeing some of the staff comments gave me hope for humanity. Many don't see through the crap, but SOME DO. And that is really important to hold onto.

It's the stupid social model of disability they keep using to justify both 'inclusion' and at the same time 'refusal to education lest they take away any of the autism the must accept'.

I can't open the link - any other way of seeing it?

(Though it sounds so depressing not sure I want to!)

StarlightMcKenzie · 25/11/2013 21:22

this any better?

Argh no! Might be my ancient PC though, have tried to follow link through harc site and can't open it there either. Oh well. It might be best for me not to see it anyway, might just tip me over the edge atm!
