Safe bed

Help...my daughter is four and has Autism. Am desperately looking for a safe sleeping environment for her, mainly to stop her wandering. Also ideally something that can be easily transported, and doesn't cost a fortune. Had found a company Readysteadybloom in the states, but they are now not sure if they want to ship to the UK anymore. If anyone has any suggestions i would be very grateful....thanks

See if you can get a charitable grant?

Thanks. Have seen the Voyager before, but expensive. May possibly get a grant if can find nothing else affordable.
Like the tents on Amazon. Would have to look at them more closely, as have a little escape artist!

I have used the bed from readysetbloom and love it. Why won't they ship from states now? I would be lost without it.

They have had problems with there manufacturing so have been out of stock. Emailed them to ask when they would be taking orders again, reply was in next couple of months. Tacked on the end was that they weren't sure if they were gonna ship to UK. Gonna do a bit of begging, as this is the only solution i have found that could actually work, both at home and on holiday. Keep your fingers crossed for me. So glad to hear that you love yours.

www.livingmadeeasy.org.uk/children/cots-3168/ We looked at these but DS was a very good climber, although a bit older than your DD. In the end we went with a safespace. We got a grant for it through social services, we needed an OT referral. Safespaces told us they mainly do grant approved sales as they are so expensive. The whole process only took us about 4 months. DS still uses it now aged 14.

Just seen you want something easily transportable these would be more a permanent addition. We found with DS that it was easier to look for ways to secure the rooms when we travelled rather then take an extra space with us

Thanks for that. We may well have to go down that route, certainly no other way we could afford it.
