Help with wording a letter to school

Hi
I am trying to put together a letter to send to school. Been putting it off for months but still support that is on DD’s statement is not happening. This is after emails sent to SENCO and comments to teachers re work in DD books for the last year. So now I am now writing to the head.
Found some good comments on here and other websites but just need to clarify something. I know that LA’s have a legal duty to “arrange this provision” but does this legal duty apply to school. How can I word the letter to school that they need to provide the support and provision?
I am also going to add that ‘If it would help you get the resources required to implement DD’s statement, I am happy to flag up your difficulties with the Local Authority’
Any good tips will be gratefully received.

Look at the IPSEA model letter for complaining that support is not being delivered

www.ipsea.org.uk

LA iis the main body to address your complaint to, but I agree you should also complain to school Head and the the Governors.

Don't be reconcilatory in your letter - keep it businesslike and curt. Don't offer help - just tell them they are in breach of their statutory duty.

Thank you for that. I am making the letter very curt. Stating they are not providing x,y,z as stated on statement. Giving them 14 days to respond with the solution but am going to make them aware that LA can get involved if they are unable to provide this. We have just had the statement increased at review so they can't blame it on funding. I am not going to go away and be fobbed off again until the statement starts happening in school!

It's not a case of trying to scare them by saying you'll get the LA getting involved if school don't sort it out - it's the LA that you need to complain to.

It's the LA that has the legal duty to deliver the support stated in the Statement - school is just their delivery agent.

Threaten them with the LGO.
