I am looking into SSs for Dd (autism). One SS (for children Asd) nearby uses this approach. Anybody heard of it?

Yes, it's commonly known as 'Scip' pronounced 'skip' website here.

It's quite similar to 'Team Teach'.

They both rely on the principle that 95% of behavioural management is prevention and de-escalation. Only 5% of intervention should be physical (and by 'physical' any touch would fall into that bracket). Full-on 'restraint' should be a once in a blue moon event for safety reasons only.

In both schemes, staff members have to be trained by accredited trainers before they can use the methods. Additionally, the trainers have to re-accredit every few years.

I know that for Team Teach, that aspect is taken very seriously. One of the staff at DD1's SS is a TT trainer and couldn't train the staff on their TT training day because she had lapsed her re-accreditation through schedule conflicts. She has to wait until she re-accredits. They also have to tell the TT organisers when they are holding training, and their training sessions can be 'dropped in on' at any time by someone from TT.
