Highchair recommendations please

We've decided to get bluechick a highchair so that she can 'join in' with us at the table. She can't sit independently yet so needs to be well strapped in.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you.

I have an Oxo tot sprout chair. www.oxo.com/p-1043-sprout-high-chair-taupe-birch.aspx very sturdy with a five point harness. Can convert to a chair when needed. Looks lovely too. They are expensive but so worth it. Lots of colours to choose from. Amazon normally has a discount.

We have the best high chair. It is the baby bjorn appetite. My little girl has only just started sitting reliably at 19months and we have had this since she was 9 months old. I absolutely love it. It was expensive for a high chair £135ish and I really ummed and erred about the cost but for the amount we use it and how well it supports dd, we have easily got our moneys worth and will for the forseeable future.
There are no straps, the baby/child is secured by the tray iykwim. It is easy to keep clean, light weight and nice and compact - perfect for our tiny home. Smile

Thanks both.

Summer how does the tray stop them flopping forward? That's my concern with bluechick as she's very bendy at the waist!

The position of the tray is highish and adjustable depending on the size of their tummy! So the tray starts at their tummy and then meets the back support in an oval, so the baby/child is almost wrapped/encased in. Does that make sense it's hard to describe. John Lewis stock them so I am sure you could test it out before buying.

I know you haven't had much luck with OT, but if you can somehow get them to pull their finger out, this is the one to get. It is essentially a trip trap, but it can be adapted in many ways. In some areas, the OT will fund after assessment.

And if you don't have much luck with them, then get a trip trap and stuff it with pillows/blankets on the side to make sure she is sitting upright.

we have the breezi, supplied by ot. Until then we used an ikea antilop, with an insert (ikea sell an inflatable one).
