Another post about glasses

DD1 will have to have glasses now. Not just because they will help her see better but because her cataracts will get worse without them and she will go blind. So non-negotiable.

She's 2 1/2 but functionally about 7 months, though with fair motor skills. How the HELL do I keep the things on? We can't keep a sunhat on her for 5 minutes at a time, let alone glasses. We'll all go completely BARMY! Sorry for the shouting but .... aaaaarrrrgghh!

I suggested to the consultant that maybe we could get a balaclava with a lens in one eye. He laughed. I wasn't entirely joking....

Anyone have any recommendations or ever seen any devices (other than bulk order of superglue) for attatching glasses to the unco-operative?

with great difficulty
just make sure you get the ones with the curly bits behind the ear

I had glasses, literaly strapped to my head from the age of about 9 months, for squint correction
I think you can buy things like stretchy straps that fit on to the ends of the glasses and strap around the back of the head

Good luck

DD1 has wore glasses since she was 4 months old, I used to get the curly armed glasses then use a sports band to keep them on her head..
