SA - How did you present it

I've put in for Statutory Assessment for my ds, who is 10. He is in year 6 and has ADHD, Dyslexia and being assessed for PDA. Obviously all the behaviors surrounding these can be pointed out and expanded upon, to show how it affects ds.

But what I'm wondering is, how do you present the information. Do you write a report from pregnancy and onwards, do you present it in the various categories (ie communication, behaviour ect) or do you present it a different way (ie referring to attached reports) at such an early stage.

Thank you in advance :)

We got sent a form with quite specific questions on. I have retyped mine in a word document and am answering in bullet points. I will be trying to get as much info in as I can and have so far gone back to when she started school as that was when everything went wrong for her.

I have an independent advocate who is going to be checking everything for me before I send it in.

Good luck Smile

Thanks Ineed. Ours isn't very specific and they don't ask questions. Guess bullet pointing it is a good idea.

I read tanks tirraora 'special educational needs- getting started with statements' which I think was v helpful. I ended up writing an awful lot very briefly outlining ds' history from birth but obv concentrating on school experience. Also threw in lots of quotes from the sencop.
