dd2 is like that at the mo (15 months)
don't worry in the least as long as she is drinking

ntt · 03/07/2006 18:09

It's the fluids that count; Sam has a tendency to go off the fluids when itn heats up but this year we are giving him some colouring free ice pops we found (I know they have rubbish- at least I suspect they do- but last year ambulance was on standby for him he got so dehydrated)

Can you try perhaps bigger breakfasts before it hots up, or frozen yoghurts (Froobs) / fruit juices?

Ds is living on toast as that all he seems to want. His diet is not brilliant but I don't care as his Paed told me to let him eat what he wants.
At least he is 'inhaling' cereal for breakfast though!!

DS2 is only eating chicken burgers & drinking the paddling pool, not sure which provides more nourishment???

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 03/07/2006 20:40

Stapo, that depends how long the pool has been left outside filled I should suspect!

stapo1 · 03/07/2006 20:47

paddling pool is refilled daily, my two are using it & next doors 3 kids & ds2 isn't potty trained!
Although the neighbours kids don't know that.. they are chinese & their English is only slightly better than my chinese
But honestly we don't have a hosepipe ban here & it is a very small pool.I promise..
I have tried to stop him drinking it but its just not working.

WellKnownMemorablePeachyClair · 03/07/2006 20:53

Well if its being used and they're not potty trianed then the nutritional content is DEFINITELY higher in the pool

no hosepipe ban here either, didn't even cross my mind! you must be paranoid LOL

Piffle · 03/07/2006 20:55

nope
dd likes cereal, pasta salad and sandwiches, fruit, yoghurt
Thats it!

heartinthecountry · 03/07/2006 21:35

dd is eating hardly anything - can just about get her to eat fruit.

Even if there is a hosepipe ban I think you are allowed to fill up a paddling pool (and wash down your patio - just not allowed to water plants/lawns) but don't quote me on it!

Thomcat · 04/07/2006 10:56

Nope, so not into eating.
She had some cereal for her tea in the end last night.
Horrid isn't it but can't blame them, I just hate to send her to bed without having had a decent tea.

D2 isn't eating much at all. Yesterday he ate one piece of toast (minus the crusts), 2 biscuits and half a sausage. He's still drinking his milk though.
