A) be asking for a referral to cahms which could take weeks/months (no idea really)

B) ask for a referral to the LD team's psychology service (would have to prove he has a IQ of >70 and he hasn't had any tests done for about 6 years when it came out as 64 I think but I know thats probably inaccurate as he has since achieved level 1 FS in english and maths and retesting him would take weeks and may be a waste of time especially if he came out as

camhs won't treat him. they have to be seen by adult mental health team at 16, my dd falls between the cracks, she's got ptsd, asd, and other stuff, the amht won't treat her for anything as she has asd, her iq is to high for sn team, our gp is useless, yours might be better, I would ask gp to try meds while you wait for amh to assess.

our area cahms website says its service is for young people up to the age of 18
