Private education but will Lea pay for TA?

I'm in a fortunate position where my mother has come into money as my nan passed away. Mainstream is failing my dd because of the class sizes. The private school not far from us has a max of 8 in a class.
But would the lea pay for a TA in the private setting?
I have a full school statement for 32.5 hours 1:1 for my dd.
Anyone know if this is possible?

I forgot to say, I understand I would be responsible for the school fees

Yes, it is. My child attends an independent school for the same reasons and my understanding is that if the LA agree to name the school of your choice in the statement then they are still required under current legislation to ensure the provision outlined in part 3 of the statement is made.

My son is fully funded at an independent a school. There are only four in his class! He has a statement for severe literacy and numeracy problems and the school does specialise in educational needs.

Wow BigBird. Thats an independent (non maintained by LA) Special school right?

We had a visit from the exclusion officer today my son (7 yrs) has just been diagnosed with adhd & possible autistic traits & sensory processing disorder. He started medication 3wks ago but the school couldn't cope his anxieties are through the roof & he's been excluded. His statement is in the process of being applied for & I asked once we get his meds & treatment sorted could we pay for him to attend an independent school as I think they could cater for him better there than any of the other local schools. She said the LA are not able to provide funding for extra support that would be detailed in his statement. Feeling confused, did she give me the wrong information?

I am happy to be corrected but I think whilst LAs do often fund independent special school places when they cannot meet a child's needs in any of its schools, I don't think they will just pay for a TA if you choose to send your child to an independent mainstream school.

Hi, yes, it was an "all or nothing" fight to get the place. We basically had to put a case forward that the independent school was best suited.
