Audiologist seems to think DS 7 can cope in a mainstream school with white noise earphones. Thinks he has Hypersensitivity to noise and not Auditory processing disorder. Has anybody else had experience of this? If it was so simple to put right why didn't somebody direct us to the correct pathway of care in the first place? His severity will be checked at later appointment. He is over two years behind now. I need a good reason to stay in mainstream or go to special school.
As far as I can see all his senses are hyper or hypo and all out of kilter in change according to what is happening. I don't want to put poor DS in wrong school. Just have not with good enough reasons for county to stay or go. Arrrgh
