EP must have written up a report, this should set things out like age equivalent (assuming they have put this) should be on this, but the report should atleast give some kind of summary of the child...Im not sure why the EP refused as and he is your child so he/she can tell you.

The report must be in the tribunal bundle??

When we rang her asking what age is he at all she said was

Ashley2006 · 02/10/2013 20:00

When we rang her asking what age is he at all she said was she couldn't say leave it to tribural , his last assessment asnt been put in his statement they've left a old copy init from 2008 but I have a new assessment off her which goes on about what he struggles with then there's that scores but nothing says what age he's learning at and I been told she should of put that in ? Sauls 11

Ive only ever had indi EP reports and they all have the age equivalents also, if nothing else its also to help the tribunal panel as its easier for them to make sense of it with an age equivalent too.

Im not sure if she has to do this but it would be helpful for all parties involved if she did. There are some very clued up folks on here so I am sure someone will be able to help you out, but this "she cant say" nonsense is not sitting well with me.

I assume she was LA EP.

StarlightMcKenzie · 02/10/2013 20:18

Put that in writing to the EP right away to confirm that is what she said and then take a copy with you to tribunal to 'read out'.

That is appalling behaviour!

StarlightMcKenzie · 02/10/2013 20:19

What assessment was it?

(I would also send that letter in with a formal complaint tbh. It is outrageous that the EP isn't sharing with you that kind of information. What control freakery planet is she on? And she is 'punishing' you for going to tribunal as is your legal right to do so by withholding essential information, that might have affected whether or not you WENT to tribunal).

I do think the tribunal should know about this behaviour.

I might have to leap to LA ed psych defence here (not typical of my posts Wink)

Not all tests 'have' an age equivalent. For a non-Tribunal, ed psych might be happy to give you an informal guesstimate, but if used as evidence, he may be a bit more cautious and stick to the textbook methods.

Fwiw (and I'm not a psych) I think those scores are low across the board. 0.3rd centile jumps out at me: only 1dc in 300 would score at or below that level. Whereas 24th centile isn't bad: well within the average for verbal similarities

You could email to check you understood correctly: that they aren't able to give you an age equivalent, which was useful in understanding their previous reports.

Ask for 'clarification' re the mention of tribunal in relation to your query. Is there a policy about explaining reports prior to tribunal? or a technical reason?
