My 18 month old has only just started walking, only has five words and never points, waves or plays with his toys ( he chews and throws them) hv has reluctantly referred him to physio and multidisciplinary team. I went to sure start play session today and he only wanted to eat the trains and throw stuff across the room. I just have this feeling I'm going down the same path as I did with his older brother. It took 4.5 years to get someone to actually see he wasn't normal dispute many hundreds of times of me going to appointments etc.

I just can't do that again, it's breaking my heart. I hope that now I have more knowledge I can be more forceful but at the end of the day the system just add 1 & 1 and come with 2

Talk to a member of staff at your sure start centre and ask if they can support you though this (they should be able to) also have a look at homestart. Do you have portage in your area as they would be a help to. The more professionals you get involved the better as there's more chance of someone acting on your concerns this way. Good luck
