In the last few weeks my 5yo dd has been at school she has had a tendency to play with her hair and she has been taking all her bobbles out, making her beautiful long hair a target for nits. Dd is sn & i 'm getting her statmented for asd.

Instead of speaking to the teacher at this school, everyone as parents are expected to put any concerns in her home communication book. So i did, i asked if the teacher would kindly put her hair up when she notices dd has taken it out, but teacher hasn't taken any notice despite me asking numerous times in this booklet.

So this fri i spent the evening again denitting her hair, which i have now cut short as i'm fed up with being bent over the bath for hours.

Is putting hair back in a simple ponytail the teachers job or aibu?

Thankyou polter just wasn't sure. Her hair is now shorter so it will be easier to check and will have a look for some fidget toys Smile

I am sick to death of nits. I plait DD2's hair and DD1 has a chin length bob. Every other week I'm racking through their hair.
DD2 went through a stage of pulling her bobbles out but her TA used to redo her hair.
TBH she did a much better job than me. Blush
