having a bit of a problem at the moment.
dd has cp and loves her food. we thought she was doing really well as she can eat anything.
concerns have been expressed at school as she has a couple of its when eating. they think that she has choked/coughed on food and this has brought on the fit. be caused of this the S.A.L.T has advised all her food to be mashed.
as she is on a day activity week(not overnight) they are taking a hot meal for her and heating it up instead of her having a picnic. she is fine with this as I think it is quicker for her as sandwiches and picnic stuff take her a while to eat.
at home I am continuing to feed her the same food as always. and so far not having any problems. I think the school problem is due to so much going on /different people feeding her. where as I/dh are expert at it.
just wondered if anyone else had been through this. (she is 11)

We don't have the same problem 2shoes but something similar in that there's a home/school divide with eating.
The staff are excellent but DD will eat nothing from a spoon at school and insists on finger food only which is a little restricting. Just as you mentioned she is easily distracted & has problems if there's too much going on. At home she more or less eats what we do .......and will eat from a spoon.
So I'm not much help but can sympathise. Wonder if
anyone else has any more experience to share?

it has all p*** me off a bit as I have always been so proud of the fact that she will eat everything she quite often beats nt kids on it. hate the thought of going backwards.
