Autism and Tourettes

I may get into trouble here...
My DS has severe Tourettes. He manages to hide it in public pretty well, but he converts many of his tics into blinking
He's just started a tennis class to build his confidence, the trouble is that one of the kids - who I suspect may be on the Autistic spectrum keeps commenting on his blinking.
My DS has explained it's due to Tourette's syndrome - but the boy won't let up. This is starting to upset my DS (11) and his little brother (8).
The boy will be about 10 years
What can I do? It's a local sports club. Do I approach the mum? I appreciate she may have her own problems with her son.
Just don't know what to do.

Can you drop it into conversation with the boy, gently pointing out that your DS can't help it?
You could even try a little reverse psychology. Ask the boy to make sure no one teases your DS because of his Tourettes, explaining that if children mention it all the time it can be upsetting for your DC.

That's a good idea.
My DS is pretty good about his Tourettes, but usually when he explains to other children what is wrong with him they just accept it. Unfortunately this little boy won't let it go. Then he started asking my youngest son why his big brother kept blinking at him- so my 8 year old was feeling a bit sensitive too.

It always helps to get someone else's perspective. Thank you
