my ds has SN and can be extremely challenging which is hard work but also rewarding as he has taught me levels of patience and understanding I never though I would possess. Repetitive comments from the ignorance gang include 'he seems normal', 'what do you mean hard work' and 'ah, never mind, it'll be alright'. Yes, too right it will be alright and why you're at it come and put my shoes on for the summer holidays. Anyway, rant over, thanks to this wonderful campaign, we are out of isolation.

Good for you tracy68. Me and some other autism mums are always pushing the boundaries on things to do with our autistic kids which once we might have feared. Mind you, one mum won that contest with her (severely) autistic son's latest birthday treat: swimming with sharks at the London Aquarium!
