3 separate assessments with an OT - what to expect?

Ok, after an initial assessment last autumn and then being accidentally left off the waiting list for a foundation skills group (but not told and foolishly waiting for an appt which never appeared), our ds has just been given three appts with on OT over the next few weeks prior to starting school in September. Am posting really as would like to know if anyone could give me any idea of what to expect from the appts but more importantly what support to push for as he starts school.

Brief background of his problems - he has mild hypermobility and hypotonia (which led to him being assessed in the first place). We then discovered both fine and gross motor skills were delayed and that he has some sensory processing issues (not severe but issues with food textures, toileting, having 'dirty' hands). After the programme provided by the OT in the autumn, his preschool have massively improved his gross motor skills but fine are still a problem as are some of his sensory issues. He doesn't have a statement but is early years action plus and will be 5 soon.

Anyone any advice? We suspect dyspraxia after reading about his symptoms, but have heard that it is very hard to get a diagnosis this early - has anyone pushed for a diagnosis with reluctant professionals? Thanks.
