Can anyone help me with a Social Story for Toilet Training?

Daughter starts school in September and isn't toilet trained. She has some sensory issues and gets extremely distressed when she has no nappy on. I saw the Educational Pyschologist last week who was fairly positive. She said she'd email me a Social Story that I could adapt to include my daughter.

I emailed her a few days ago and all she emailed back was a free off the Internet starchart jpeg. I understand she is busy trying to see all the children before they start school, so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to find a Social Story for Toilet Training.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask.

i've just made a social story for DD, using this very simple pdf guide

i have a very old PC and have no idea how to use Powerpoint so i print use as recommended by a MNer ages ago to make pictures of DD and stick them onto the page with a pritt stick

i'm quite proud of the ones i make now, DD (although highly verbal) responds very well to them, her anxieties tend to make her mind work overtime, the social stories help keep in the present time and help her deal with the 'now'

Ah. Thanks.

Didn't even know what was involved in the 'Social Story'.

No to sitting on the toilet.

She will pose for photo's, yes to opening door, washing hands etc. No to anything actually involved with weeing or pooing.

Have managed to get her sitting on the potty - fully clothed - which was the first step the EP suggested. This alone is a huge leap for us.

We have boy pants that DD chose herself. Sometimes she will wear them over her nappy.

The EP did give us some print outs of cartoon pictures, showing all the steps of going to the toilet. She understands the whole process, gets it, knows her friends use the toilet, she doesn't want to / won't entertain the idea herself.

I think social stories are great for introducing new ideas and concepts, after a few times of reading the story with her, she might be willing to try to act it out?
