Sorry maybe it is just me, but don't you think this is just a bit crap?

Are they so desperate to show their Early Bird Plus course is helpful? My experience is that this course is used by my LA as a substitute for proper provision. You don't need a statement, go on an EPB course.

Do you have to be on Twitter to read this, IE?

inappropriatelyemployed · 23/06/2013 15:50

Not sure. Can you read it?

That is what I thought PG. Why would a child be doing this and why feel the need to tweet it?

I just get a picture of a child's handwritten note.

Posted with tweet saying "A little EarlyBirder aged 7 wrote his thoughts about our EBPlus Programme and how it helps families "

Maybe it's just me but I thought it was a bit of a lame attempt at self-promotion.

Why would a 7 year old even know what the course is?

inappropriatelyemployed · 23/06/2013 18:57

Well I might just be being overly harsh but I thought it was very odd.

We managed to get on a course within a month of dx.

How useful was it? Well, I suppose it made us feel that we were doing something so yes, false sense of empowerment. A half-hour PECS course which helped us decide that we did nto need it etc.

So, in the long-term it was not really useful but we did meet some lovely people/parents at a time when we felt isolated.

But yes, why is a child commenting on it?!! Does smack of self-promotion.

It's akin to a child recommending a marriage guidance counselor their parents used ffs. Maybe it's just me, but I find it totally inappropriate for a 7 year old to comment on, and think it smacks of exploitation.

Nil points NAS.
