After almost 18 months of waiting tomorrow is 3yr old Dd's statutory assessment.
Feeling sick, nervous and on tenterhooks Sad

What if they say there is nothing wrong with her? We know she isn't a NT child but what if they can't help us?
How can we be best prepared? Have photos, videos of her meltdowns, repetitive, organised play, and SALT have sent reports in along with SIS.
Have written a list of all the 'strange' behaviour we have noticed I.e the toe walking, severely restricted diet, sensory issues, obsessive behaviour etc etc.

Can anyone advise as to what we can expect to happen tomorrow?

TIA Smile

Who is doing the assessment? Where is it?

Are you sure it is the statutory assessment and not the diagnostic assessment?

Sorry. I was far too blunt.

Meant to say that I am sorry you have to go through this and hope you get the outcome you need to move forward positively.

Its being done at our LA multi disciplinary assessment centre... This is as far as I am aware the day we get a diagnosis..I thought that was SA? (can't you tell I'm new to all of thisSad )

The SA is what you do when you are preparing evidence for a statement.

Poor you. I hope it goes well (or at least you leave confident that the picture presented was typical and the conclusions reasonable).

Think of it as the day you get your signpost. Your child is unchanged.

This is the 2nd of 2 appointments, 1st they decided whether to do a full assessment and we have been told by the assessment centre, tomorrow is the day they will all being well make a diagnosis. Smile
