Included five pages of changes as the last one was awful. Who's done this before? Is it likely they will even change a thing? I'm so scared of a tribunal but I don't have any other option...is it a long process as I won't be entering him into reception in September as things stand.

we appealed (i basically rewrote the statement as it was so awful). LA then simply finalised the crappy statement we had rejected;not a single change was made. we appealed, LA gave in before the hearing. we had great support all along the way from ipsea. seems to happen fairly often.

I wish I had your confidence, the whole things terrifies me! Can you get legal aid? Or no because your fighting for your child?

legal aid depends on the family income (we did not qualify, Ipsea is free)- at least it did.. not sure if the recent changes to legal aid restricted access for SEN matters further.

hopefully somebody more knowledgable will reply.

You can check whether you're eligible for legal aid at www.gov.uk/check-legal-aid , or else phone Civil Legal Advice - www.gov.uk/civil-legal-advice . If you qualify, they will put you through to one of the firms that specialises in education legal aid work.
