What CAN I do? Teacher meeting adhd

My ds is 5 1/2. I have suspected something isn't the way it should be since he was 2yrs. He literally bounces of the walls constantly, and can't concentrate on anything unless it contains a screen (TV, computer games). We saw a Paediatrician earlier this year who suggested Adhd, but my dh argued that his behaviour is largely due to his age (I disagree). The consultant said there was no harm in waiting another 6 months to see if he was just a late developer, but he suspected this wasn't the case. Anyway.....the school have asked us to come in for a meeting because of his behaviour. Of course, I want to be there and hear what they have to say, but I know that me telling my son to calm down in the mornings just doesn't work. He eats and sleeps well......so what else can I do to help school and my ds whilst I'm not there? Is there anything I can suggest for the school to do?

tbh, the best suggestion is really to get the dx.

Otherwise your child is just a 'naughty child' rather than one with a recognised disability that entitles him to reasonable adjustments.
