My DS has just hit me

Don't even know where to begin. Major meltdown at bedtime - DS (9) became outraged at DD breaking something of his. He then hit DD, so I put him in his room, he punched me in the stomach.

It didn't hurt but where on earth do we go from here??

He is undiagnosed - but has sensory issues & ? Social communication disorder ? Aspergers .

I am beyond disappointed. Just feel despair.

So sorry Sad. Ds1 can be like this. Sounds like he'd already lost control before the dd incident.

It isn't necessarily the start of a slippery slope. Could be the trigger to things starting to improve.

Are you in the 'system' currently?

Hope all is a bit calmer now for you. It is really hard. Have you got any support at all at moment? School, GP etc?

Thanks for the answers - PolterGoose those links have been incredibly useful, thank you.

He calmed down & 20 minutes later came down sobbing because he was worried about 2 things: 1) something I had mentioned earlier in the day, and 2) our argument Sad

We had a hug & a chat about his worries, and about what to do next time.

We are in the system - sort of. Have appointments coming up in April which I hope will lead somewhere. In the meanwhile, I have only this board for advice.

It is so depressing.

Thank you - I have been reading the 'what was your child like at 2-3yrs' I was so smug about my darling boy. Your posts were absolutely the mirror of our experience. He also loved gazing at wheels Grin.....wonder why it's all such a big surprise now.

Ah, we've all been there with the smugness...I used to be glad that ds didn't like to play with others or rough play and at he was so easy to keep happy with his "obsessions". And yes, he loved wheels.
Do keep a diary, and write down milestones etc..using the red book can be useful for this.
