DD is diagnosed ASD but shows many of the signs of ADD - more signs of ADD than ASD to be honest but I know there can be a huge overlap.

DD has a small amount of daily Omegas but I was never able to give her the recommended starting dose as large doses did not seem to agree with her digestive system.

I was researching for more info on natural supplements etc.. and came across something called Focus Formula - I'd never heard of it before has anybody else tried it?

Not personally, but Native Remedies have been around for a while now and are sold online from reliable sources either direct from them or Amazon. I am mighty tempted to try them .. the ingredients look fairly harmless but I'm still unsure of homeopathy (my son's not medicated at all for his ADHD BTW) ... will follow thread to see if anyone with experience comes along.

I dont know anything about focus formula but My ds (pda) has been having behaviour balance DMG from detox people for 18 months now and it had a hugely positive impact on his behaviour.
It made him much more relaxed, more compliant, improved his eye contact and we noticed the effects within two weeks of starting.
He also has vegepa for omega 3, which I do think help too. If your dd has tummy probs it is def worth experimenting with different brands to find one that suits. Also, I'd look closely at her diet and introduce probiotics, ds has chewable strawberry ones from holland & barratt. I'd also try magnesium & zinc supplements which are often v helpful for children on the spectrum.

Thanks for your replies - we have tried Behaviour Balance but it seemed to make DD grimace and do neck stretching so we stopped it. We have been doing probiotics for about a month. Yes I thought the ingredients in Focus Formual looked harmless and there were great reviews on their website but I'm always a bit dubious about in house reviews Smile

I looked on the site and there's quite a few that might be useful for my ds- the purecalm or moodcalm for outbursts and the be-dry for bedwetting.
Like all medications/supplements/remedies, different things work for different people. I've used homeopathy successfully myself in the past and I guess there's nothing to lose but a few pounds if it doesn't work.

I think that by definition, the ingredients in homeopathic remedies will always be harmless.
