Piedro boot advice

Hello I have just bought a pair of Piedro boots for my son who is 6, they are not funded by NHS as he wears a Splint for part of the week. He has worn them for the first time today and is complaining that they hurt on the underside of his heal, on his non Hemi side.
Has any one else's child complained of heal pain, what did you do?

Thanks for any advice.

Silly question, did you get them fitted professionally or did you buy them online? Also has anything rubbed, and can you find anything by rubbing your finger inside the offending boot?

What kind of insoles do they have? We started with some quite hard almost cork type ones but now have some spongey feeling ones that have more 'give'. Don't know if that could be the issue?

Hello the orthotist who fits his AFO told us the size to buy but that was all, they said I couldn't see them in clinic even if I pay for them, they haven't got any insoles just the normal inner shoe lining, where did you get the jelly like insoles from?

Do you have a really good shoe shop. Go and get his feet checked and see if the fit is right. It's all well and good them telling you the size, but if it doesn't fit one foot properly he will get blisters etc and you will have spent all that money for nothing.

Our inserts were ordered alongside the boots,so that prob doesn't help you, sorry. They are just like standard inserts but bit thicker & spongier if you see what I mean. I would second going into a decent shoe shop. Hope you get it sorted.
