Weird school dilemma

Pls help. I am in quite a dilemma regarding school. Dd goes to a good private school who are not letting ABA tutors in. I found another place which is quality wise not that good, are not that structured and hence are quite relaxed. They are happy to let my tutors in. I could never leave dd alone in the second nursery as she would just roam around. In the first place, there is organization which benefits them and hence they are refusing to be open to any new tutors coming in. I have always thought private for dd but increasingly, I realise private schools in my area may not be open to ABA or any sort of 1:1 TA pad by us. They see it as a hindrance.

At the same time, time is of the essence for dd to begin ABA shadow now as language wise she has picked up but lags behind in social skills. What will be the right thing to do! Pull her out of private and send her to second nursery with ABA tutor, or do both side by side?

It might help you by thinking What is your long term aim?
Can you ever see your dd in the private school without a shadow?
Will she always need a 1:1?

If you have the option of trying them both side by side, go for it, you will soon know what is the right placement for her.

I can see dd in private school without 1:1. But I am so confused DEV. It has thrown me completely off the hook

I would put her in the placement that allows ABA tbh. That would be my priority to begin with.

As she moves on from ABA, the structured approach that many private schools adopt are often better (approach wise, - not always competitive and pace-wise).

Oh dearie dear! My private school agreed to meet ABA consultant and let the tutors in to try

Must have heard you'd soon be taking your fees elsewhere Wink

Yes you are right. I told them dd had cleared entrance for two other top girls schools in London and they were going to allow ABA in. It is then that she thought we.d better move fast
