DC2is being assessed for pure autisim but since looking in to autisim I have realised my elder child displays quite a few asberger traits he had a mild speech delay nearly required salt but then he caught up he is very clumsy has a very hard time understanding anothers pov is obsessive complains about his socks being uncomfortable has no imaginative play skills and has meltdowns at school, the teacher considered refering him last year to a behaviour specialist. He also runs off when outside and forgets to do things alot, he gets too over excited and his behaviour is then difficult he also has only one friend. Does this sound concerning? How would I get him refered? Dd was referred by salt and hearing doctor but ds doesnt see those. Ds is 7 next month btw.

From what you have described i would say its highly likely he has AS. Do not blame yourselves, sometimes these things are hard to spot. Talk to your GP.
