Dd2 is 3.4 she's a nightmare at home at the minute very very controlling screams and shouts when things aren't done her way or don't go her way. Ridiculous levels of screaming directed at her big sis if she even dares enter the living room!

At nursery she's quiet and barely talks to teachers and doesn't socialise or talk to other kids at all. She doesn't Luke nursery and is very anxious about it, but I.can't understand this huge discrepency??!

Nursery have identified that there are issues just different to ones we have at home.

Is this common??

No dx as yet

Wow, sannaville Your Dd2 sounds like my Dd3 when she was younger.

She could go all day without speaking to anyone in reception although she was reasonably happy at preschool but at home she was controlling and used to go bonkers if things werent done to her exacting specifications. For instance, she used to pour her milk onto her cereal out of a red cup which had been in the microwave for precisely 20 seconds. If the cup wasnt available the world ended.

She has mellowed as she has got older or we have got more chilled. Although Dd2 still isnt allowed access to the tv buttonsGrin

Dd3 has a diagnosis of ASD, although I wouldnt dream of saying that your Dd has ASD too.

It took along time to get the proofs to listen to me about Dd3 and many proffs are still not good at picking up ASD in girls.

If you are worried, start keeping a diary of your Dd's issues/difficulties, what causes them [if you know] and how you deal with them. Then go to your GP and ask for a referral to a developmental paediatrician.

Also, keep nursery on board as they may be seeing different behaviours but they could lead to a bigger picture.

Good luckSmile
