What are you getting your sn child(ren) for Christmas?

Can I seek inspiration please?

Am quite stuck on what to get ds (ASD, 5 1/2) for Christmas. The only thing he has asked for is a machine that makes chocolate, which doesn't exist of course. Everything promoted for boys this age is pretty inappropriate (eg action figures which mean nothing to him) or he has one (eg no point buying leapster games etc as he has limited use of the ipad and that's enough!).

Have a couple of board game type things, but need a 'main' present.

What's everyone else doing?

For his birthday (Monday) we're getting ds the dvd of the Tour de France. He got quite excited by the Britain road race in the summer, and luckily I had the good sense to record some of it. So worried that it will get deleted by mistake as he watches it every day! So this is more of a 'back up' but hoping he will love it just as much.

Christmas - I had bought some of the Mr Tumble range from Tesco... annual, puzzle, bag, and possibly a snap game. We probably won't do a 'big' present as he's just not interested. Just as happy opening a present with a t shirt as any popular toy!

I am getting dd a bigger trampoline as this has been one of the only things I have bought her that she really loves, she has a toddler trampoline atm. Just hope its dry+not too cold xmas day so she can use it! Also had a fish bubble lamp for her bedroom down from £40 to £30 in argos a few weeks back. Its a long tube that stands on floor with bubbles+changing lights+fish swimming up+dwn it (dd loves fish tanks)

DS3 (4) is actually the easiest of my 3 to buy for at the moment. He loves buses and lorries so I have been accumulating replicas of various companies' delivery vehicles (they have to have a recognisable logo). I also managed to get models of the actual London buses we use every day (with the right number and destination on the front!) and he will happily replay our daily journey on the bus, including any conversations we have had.

With regard to the chocolate machine, I always wanted one as a child and my parents got me this which is still available. It doesn't actually make chocolate, but a machine that distributes it is a lot of fun!

Another one here who doesn't really do toys.Probably more Dr.Who dvds and a sensory light.(still looking)
I don't think we can top last year when we got a didicar.(someone suggested it on here)
He still zooms round the house on it,as do all children (all ages) who visit
