Filling out her D of E form.

There's a yez/no box. Along the lines of 'does it impact on every day activities' or somesuch.

I haven't had to tick a box like that since she gpt diagnosed.

I don't know which to tick.
On one hand yes it does. On the other it doesn't.

She said no. But it does and may well affect how she does. But I don't want it to.

I'm confused (and probably in denial)

Yes I would put down AS as a disability - and in the case of my DS - although he is 'high functioning' ASD it definitely does impact on everyday activities. I suppose the realisation came for me when, 2 years after diagnosis, I got round to claiming DLA for him. Filling in the dreaded form really bought home his day to day difficulties.

Tricky one if DD is saying not to disclose but you know it may affect how well she does.

Ah, tell her with all the asthmatics, peanut allergies, sore knees, dyslexia, mild hearing impairment, moderate LD, spina bifida etc etc in dc doing the DofE currently, she'll be thought weird if there isn't a medical need or disability to list.

Oh. Thats a better idea.
I was going to secretly open the envelope and add the tick. But I'd rather she did it herself.
