Just wondered how every one is coping with the holiday.
Not been too bad as dd has been at playscheme. she is home tomorrow. and I have invited 2 of her friends over (so they come with mums and siblings) for a birthday lunch as it is her eleventh on Tuesday

Envy at having access to a playscheme.

It's a bit up and down here. Ds1 had been very tearful and stressed towards the end of term but is now back to his usual self. The break is obviously doing him good. :) Ds2 is fairly happy but his ASD traits are becoming more pronounced. We'd just got used to him wearing clothes around the house but since the start of the holidays he's been wearing just a nappy. The throwing frenzy is also back.

I must admit it's a relief not to have to get 3 children dressed and out of the house for the school/pre-school run. :)

For the first few days of the hols Ds2's autistic traits became more pronounced and he seemed more serious. I think possibly he found it odd having to share my attention with DS1, or maybe he was a bit overwhelmed with DS1 being here all the time (he can be quite noisy!)Today is the first day he's been more like his normal self. And tomorrow is Dh's last day at work for 10 whole days!!!! [grin grin grin] I must admit ricocheting between DS1 and DS2 has done my head in this week. I'd forgotten how hard it was to have both of them at home, though it's only been two terms.

Oops - obviously that's not how you do a line of grins...

not hols for us yet. next week and week after. have some visits planned. apart from that, have stocked summerhouse with vodka.........

Actually not bad as we are also lucky enough to have playscheme 2 days a week. They can go from 9-5 but I tend to do 11-4 as feel it's long enough. Have things planned for all of the days which is good.
I am actually so happy to have dd off as she was having a complete nightmare at school. She is so much happier and I can breathe a sigh of relief as she is with me so I can look after her.

will let you know next week... although the end of the week my sil and neices will be here to visit dn's are the same age as my two monkeys so it should be fun - 4 girls under 4 squealing and running around!!

Luckily we only have 10 days off - go back on the Tuesday after Easter.

am also going to try [gulp] toilet training.

coppertop · 07/04/2006 05:50

Toilet-training?

:o

eidsvold · 07/04/2006 08:05

that will be me by 9am Monday CT. I have tried everything... even had the physio and ot here for a home visit and went through everything we have tried and the only other suggestion they came up with was emptying dd1's nappy into the toilet and showing her where the poo goes..... Smile

However as she is little miss independent we hope to get a proper step/laddery thing that will help her go to the toilet by herself and so might prod things along.

I will no doubt have tonnes of washing to do... she can sit in wet pants and not even feel uncomfortable... However it is getting cooler here so that might help.
