Helloooooo ds1! Mrsf, are you trying to give him a Mumsnet addiction already?

fio2 · 05/01/2004 18:51

lolSmile does your mum really stoop this low to satisfy her mumsnet addictionWink

coppertop · 05/01/2004 18:56

Aha! It's all a cunning plan, ds1. Your mum tells your dad that she was only on here for 2 minutes - and that YOU were responsible for the other 28 minutes.

fio2 · 05/01/2004 18:58

lolSmile

hello ds1 - how are you? I hope you are keeping an eye on your mum and making sure she's not hogging the computer

DS1 is in bed now (Thanks to melatonin!!!) and i'll explain why he wanted to 'post' a message!!! He 'noticed ' the 'smileys' on the messages and wanted to 'test' them out! Got me thinking about a sub-branch of mumsnet ...called MumsNippers - or MumsNip for short!
You will be thrilled to know that he didn't catch my password so HE WILL NOT be starting a thread called 'My Mum and her annoying ways!(Phew!!!)

Though (as coppertop discovered) he did make some cunning 'adjustments' on our email the other day which meant that instead of our emails stating they were from our family ....they stated they were from The Man Of Peace!!! We are still laughing about this.... it's amazing how 'creative' he can be !

Oh I hate to think what my two would post about me in the future on a site like that! I can just see the threads: "Life with Mum left me needing (speech) therapy" or "Did anyone else grow up with a Mumsnet addict?" Help!

my ds asks me if I'm sending a message "from wickedwaterwitch or from xxx (my real name)" and he's also asked if he can make smileys here. I've let him but then I quickly preview it before shooing him off to do something else so I can get on with proper mumsnetting

My nearly 6 yo son asks daily for a Kidsnet, also. Does anyone know any good bulletin boards for kids? It's a goal of mine to set up an v small invite-only, heavily monitored bb for my son by the time he can read and write well enough to use one. (Your kids would all be invited, of course.)
