Asd and ichy eyes

My dd complains of having ichy eyes and that they irritate her and keep her awake. I have taken her to the doctor and her eyes have been checked by an optomologist. When she was younger she was examined in hospital as her teacher was concerned about absent seizures. All tests were clear but she did have a habit of going into a stare type dreamworld when she was younger. I wonder is the ichy eyes caused by her not blinking enough. It is not an allergy more of a behavioural issue. I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

My DS gets very itchy eyes and has had lots of eye infections due to him rubbing them so much, but I think he's just allergic to house dust or something.

Ds is always rubbing his eyes, he has an eye condition called 'oculomotor deficiencies type 11' it means he finds 'tracking' difficult, also head movement ie looking at the board in school, then looking down to the paper, straining on his eyes.

He also has sensory issues ie bright light, its called 'photo' something or the the other, sorry i cant remember the full name. But bright light also affects his eyes and he rubs them.

Mine used to rub his eyes loads. Ive just realised he doesnt do it so much. It got better when i took him to a behavioural optometrist. Like claws ds, he has tracking difficulties. He gets hayfever and they are worse then. Could it be a dust allergy

Thank you so much for the replies. She also has severe dyspraxia. when she was been checked out by the optomologist I mentioned could he check did she have eye tracking problems ans he looked at me like I had two heads!! He just got her to follow his pen with her eyes. Some of these professions haven't a clue. Never heard of sensory processing disorder. Is there anything I can do to help her. She is sitting towards the back of the class.

Ds has itchy eyes. Drinking more can help sometimes. Sounds like she would also benefit from being at the front of the class, maybe she's straining her eyes whilst she's looking at the board.
