HELP.Its me again. My seven year old little boy has not had a good day. He came out of school in a bit of a state, the teacher asked to have a word. She said that he was upset as a boy NO PRIZES FOR GUESSING HIS NAME( for anyone who answered my last thread)told him that he is going to get me. He has not stopped crying since he came home, has asked me over and over again "is daniel going to get you, I don't want daniel to get you, i really love you mummy"!!!!!. How the hell do I reassure him, I have tried everything. I have made him a keyring with the words DANIEL IS NOT GOING TO GET MUMMY. Unfortunatley as he can't really read it, although he hasn't let go of it since. How do you other mums deal with these situations?

Oh mixed

Am v sorry to read its still like this.

I take it as read that school have been totally ineffective since your last posting.

What did the teacher say to you?. If they cannot or will not deal with this situation I would seriously consider removing your son from this school for his own sake.

Have a look at www.bullying.co.uk; they have an e-mail address you can write to and they will reply to it. There is lots of info on there you can use.

hi meers. Thanks for your message. The teacher was quite annoyed by what daniel had said, and she said that she was going to discuss it with the head. I know to a lot of seven year olds comments like that would go in one ear and out of the other, but to Callum it is so different. He hasn't eaten his breakfast, the first words he said when he opened his eyes was "will daniel get you, my hubby cannot get through to him either. I have taken your advice and sent an e.mail to www.bullying, in the hope that they can help. I really don't want him to go to school today, I can only imagine how it must feel for him being so anxious, and me not being there to give him reassurance and a cuddle if he wants one.

I think I would go to the school and get them to Tell this boy to tell daniel to tell him he is not going to get you. I feel so sorry for your son. This is bulling. It happened a few years ago at my sons primary(mainstrean) and got very nasty. I do hope you get it sorted.

could you arrange a meeting with the head and this boy and make him say he was talking rubbish? might get through if its daniel who says it

when we got to school this morning, my ds wanted me to talk to daniels mum. I have never approached her before, but he kept on asking me to and i did not want him to feel that i wouldn't help him if that was what he wanted me to do. She didn't know of any incidents re the two boys, didn't realise that they were in the same class. She asked daniel what he had said and he said "nothing". I told her that ds is autistic and all she said was "daniels the opposite, he has adhd". I am going to ask to see my ds school record, i do feel awkward asking as they are going to question why, and although it is dreadful for my ds, if it wasn't for his anxiety, I am sure that they do not feel that he is being bullied. I do not want them to feel that I am making a mountain out of a molehill, but the effect on my ds is devastating.

please tell me he is feeling better:{

mixedemotions123 · 23/03/2006 07:48

he is feeling a bit happier this afternoon.Smile thanks. The teacher apparently asked two of his former classmates to collect him at morning play so that he had somebody to play with away from Daniel, which i thought was good. He has still asked repeatedly "mummy will daniel get you", but when I say NO, it seems to satisfy him for about half an hour. Poor little soul he is already taking Risperidone for his anxiety etc, and he really doesn't need anybody adding more fears in his little head.
