It looks good on paper, I cant really tell whether it is academic enough for DS

Yes. Loved it. It is the only ASD specific non-ABA provision in London I woukd ever consider for Ds if I had to. The basis for my feelings is the attitude of the staff and their high expectations and their ability to get a very clear picture of a chikd's needs and plan for them individually. They are also concerned with EDUCATING the Chikdren as opposed to give them a nice life horse riding and visiting cafes (although they do this too).

I decided against it however due to the lack of peer opportunity. I've no doubt Ds woukd have done well academically because it was almost an individual curriculum, despite him being HFA, but I chose instead a SALT school for more socially motivated peers.

Donburi,

I can't respond ATM but I strongly recommend you copy this in a new thread with relevant title, as this one won't get much traffic and there are lots with very similar experiences to you.
