Does anyone have experience of this? I'm concerned dd2 is going though another regression :(

Could it be the start of a new school term? change in routine?

Dd2 often regresses slightly when she goes back to school, takes her a few weeks to get back to normal again.

We havn't had any major regression but ften have a few bad weeks due to changes at school or home.

Sorry you are having this worry, Lisa.

DD never really regressed but we tend to have mini-regressions when DD is not well (virus, temperature etc) and it always takes a couple of weeks for DD to get back to her usual self.

Not sure if it counts as regression but when we were away last week it was all very over stimulating for ds, his speech was awful and his echolalia was constant and he developed a weird tic thing but it only lasted whilst we were away.

What is happening with your dd?

her stutter has started again, some of the words she had has gone again and shes falling over alot :(

I have had the same experience as Marne, DS has regressed a little with the stress of a new school term. He got behaviour star of the week at school (but not at home Wink) He has to work so hard at school and he has to let it out at home.

Catsdontcare · 16/09/2012 09:32

Oh how worrying for you Sad. Do you think she might be under the weather?

chuckeyegg · 16/09/2012 10:53

Balance does go with DS when he's really tired or is getting ill. Sad

Hope things are better soon. x

ds does this sometimes - we say with him it is 2 steps forward then 1 and 3 quarters backward. Sometimes we hadn't even realised he had made the progress until he goes back iyswim.

on the other hand the falling over bit is a bit worrying - does dd get glue ear? Worth a trip to the gp to rule out an infection somewhere?

Catsdontcare · 16/09/2012 11:23

Ds also falls a lot when tired or unwell

DD1 doesn't have an ASD diagnosis, but she has little regressions. This weekend we can't work out if she is poorly, but she's suddenly extremely anxious, lots of noises 'ninoo, ninooo, noninoonooo', tearful, etc. She'll be like this for a little while, then hopefully return to her 'normal'. Either that, or it's the start of her getting poorly all the time again Sad
