Dd2 is 37 months been under pead since 9 months old. Used to attend cdc however in our area they cater more for severely disabled children and there seems to be nothing for kids with ADHD, AS, dysoraxia etc. Pead mentioned end of last year perhaps hfa and tried to refer to some pead or other within the cdc heard nothing despite chase ups from our pead. he also tried to refer her for ados test to no avail!!!

In our area under 5s got to be dealt with within the cdc however our time their was fruitless as they'd never had a child like dd as to start with she was able bodied which seemed to stump them! As did the fact she had speech. So they assumed she had no issues.

We have a further pead app in.October and my hubby attending too AMD we want to say basically enough messing around we need help, she has button phobia, is controlling, doesn't sleep and a host of other issues. We are in devon and there's little services here compared to areas like London.

Sorry for the essay here!! So my question... Can we ask for out of area to somewhere like London for example for intial assessment? Or is there a certain team we need to be asking for referral to?

I'm unsure if its HFA but there's definate anxiety, sleep and sensory issues
Many thanks

Forgot to add she's quite obsessive over certain tv characters and her DVDs! Doesn't know her colours/numbers/alphabet yet but is a whizz on iPad and YouTube. Hates grooming and has severe seperation anxiety

Hi zzzz we went to hlands nursery for over a year but they didn't do Tue two day assessment. In the end a clinical pysch discharged her on basis of her being too intelligent?! Not sure what a pathfinder authority is?! Will google after school run thanks x

Also hlands seems to have more emphasis on life limiting illnesses now eveny friends boy who has genetic problems is unsure how much longer he will be able to attend there as he no longer has a peer group anymore

We just got told that we didn't need an MDA because my DD can draw an age appropriate picture- her communication skills are liek that of a child half her age though and she is increasingly distressed in school so I have just booked a phone appoint, ent with the GP so I can ask for a CAHMs referral. Not sure how area specific CAMHS is but may be worth a try.

Sorry just seen that that has been suggested

Just saw the bit about age specific pic I may ring camhs and ask them as may be quicker as my dd1 sees them anyway
