How to get the best out of a psychologist appt

I've got a session next week with a psychologist to work on some of the behavioural issues we have with have ds who is nearly 7. Just the normal asd/ global developmental delay stuff - throat sounding, picking sticks and yucky stuff off ground, eating with fingers, food crumbling and sprinkling etc etc

I need help with fostering a desire in ds to want to do more for himself - get himself dressed for example. And to get him to be more interactive with me. He is verbal but really can't have a two way conversation without quickly going off on a strange tangent.

I need to think about how to reduce his separation and "change of plan" anxiety

I also need help with managing the dynamic between ds and his younger sibling and me. it is really tough to engage with ds as he'd rather be in his own world. It is made even harder by the fact that I literally cannot do anything with ds without dd age 4 sitting on my lap, singing or taking over the game. And dd gets loads and loads of one to one time with me as ds is so happy playing by himself.

To be fair to her she is the best at playing with ds and they happily enact tea parties and sleepovers together and she has much more patience for his reptitive games than i do.

In all of this the big problem for me is to know how much change is reasonable to expect and to pitch my expectations not too low or too high.

Ds wont be with me at the appointment so I can chat freely. Not sure what I can expect from this appointment and any follow up. I hope she doesn't just ask to make a bloody visual timetable - visuals do work up to a point but I hate making the buggers and they are not a panacea.

Anyone had experience in how to get the most out of my one hour of professional time and if you were me what would you try to fix first!
