I feel like giving up! It has been really hard to get any any professional to assess my son and when they do I am always disappointed by both assessment and report.
I received Ed Pych report yesterday. It took nearly two years to get him assessed and the only reason it even happened was because I applied for statutory assessment. It certainly isn't going to help him get a statement :-(. I find out outcome of statutory assessment next week and know for sure it wont be good newn. He was assessed with BAS and mostly scored average and some low. Towards the end she wrote a what his strengths and weaknesses. She said his attention skills were a big problem but in her list of recommendations she didn't list anything to support this. I assume she is avoiding recommending one to one.
Salt report for statutory assessment isn't going to help either as he scored high??? 6 months ago when tested using CELF he scored 1% percentiles and now scoring above 50%
Thanks for reading. I needed to have a whine. No one in real life is interested. They just think I need to relax and accept he it just slow :-(
